German-Asian Business Circle, or DAW (
Deutsch-Asiatische Wirtschaftskreis e.V.), is an independent network of more than 1,800 companies, organisations and institutions offering numerous Asia-related services. Besides contacts in diplomacy and the economy, the association organises informational events on current developments in Asia and conducts seminars on key issues. It organises business trips to regions offering potential for the German economy and arranges directs contacts in those regions. Sanet is DAW’s official coordinator for ASEAN countries and works closely with the service centre and the executive board, giving regular updates on current developments in Southeast Asia via the platform of DAW events. The German Association of Medium-Sized Businesses, or BVMW (Bundesverband Mittelständische Wirtschaft), represents medium-sized businesses. Committed to entrepreneurship, it is politically independent and privately financed. Chinaforum Bayern e.V. is a non-profit association for promoting Bavarian-Chinese cooperation. At the same time the organisation is a pool of cultural, economic and consultancy experts as well as scientific institutions in Bavaria and throughout Germany. Members include leading representatives of large and medium-sized companies. The Chinaforum regularly organises events providing information on issues relating to China and forms an information platform for everyone relying on regular information about the “Middle Kingdom”. Pool of Experts is an online directory for experts in internationalisation and export, thus forming part of the product portfolio of OSEC, the business network of Swiss foreign trade. Sanet is proud of the fact that Sanet advisor Dr. Gunter Denk is one of the 500 experts from 43 countries registered in the online directory (as at October 2010), and Sanet has successfully advised Swiss companies on a number of occasions.
