• As business activities not accompanied by direct investments, Indonesia allows Representative Offices and branch offices. However, the applicant has to invest substantial capital, depending on the number of staff employed and the business segment he is in.
• Wholly Foreign Owned Enterprises ( WFOE) , means also 100% foreign owned subsidiaries of a foreign company, and also Joint Ventures with Chinese partners are possible. However, Joint Ventures with foreign majorities in shareholding cannot akquire real estate.
