Sanet expands

For the past five years, consulting firm Sanet (Thailand) Co. Ltd. has been sharing its 2010 office building with its sister company Sanet Trade & Services (STS). The steady growth of both Sanet subsidiaries has led to the acquisition of another office building on 8 August 2015, increasing the total office space to 600 m².

The new building will serve as the ASEAN headquarters of Sanet Trade & Services (STS). With managing director Chulalux Chinwong and Sanet partner Sven Korf at the helm, the company offers sales and distribution services to European manufacturers of technical products in Thailand and the ASEAN countries.

Sanet offers these companies several models for entering and expanding in these markets. If requested so by the client, Sanet acts as the client’s regional sales manager or offers key account management services. Existing dealers are checked out, managed, and provided technical and commercial support in their sales activities. In this model, Sanet also works on identifying new dealers in areas where the client is not yet represented or where it could use better representation. Overall, Sanet acts virtually as the Asian unit of the client’s foreign sales team.

In Thailand itself and also in Vietnam, Sanet STS can also act directly as the client’s agent for the sale of technically advanced products to industrial end-users.

Sanet can also serve companies that would like to act with their “own” dedicated sales person through establishing the client’s “Business Unit”, thus avoiding for its principals the high costs and administrative hassle of setting up subsidiaries in each country. For a minimum period of three years, Sanet will set up a dedicated business unit with one or more employees who will exclusively handle the client’s product. The business unit works closely with Sanet’s client.

Cuurrently, STS represents such well-known companies as Kraiburg TPE, R+E Automatisierungstechnik, Kremlin Rexsson, STRAIL (Bahntechnik), ASIS GmbH and DELO Industrieklebstoffe in Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia. By the end of the year, three other agency relationships will be set up and a significant number of staff has already been hired to handle these new tasks.

STS offers a decisive competitive advantage for the companies its represents through its collaboration with the consulting firm Sanet ASEAN ADVISORS. The sales team receive qualified support in recruiting, creating market studies, and professional searches for partner dealers.

More than 120 guests from the business community in Thailand and also from Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam and Germany celebrated the opening of the expanded Sanet offices in Bangkok with a menu including German cuisine and the famous Bavarian “Weizenbier”.
